Faith Through the Struggles

How are things in your part of the world? How has the virus impacted you and your family?

Hello from my little corner of faith in the Lord and struggling to keep up. I thought I would drop in and let you know a few things that have been going on in my life.

Corner of Faith in the Lord

Well, the virus hit. Did you just say, "Well, duh?" :) . I have felt overwhelmed by things since dealing with everyone being home. Things are so loud and it sets off my sensory overload in a hurry :(. However, I do the best that I can.

Because of the virus, T started working from home. What a blessing to know that he has a job that allows him the ability to work "remotely ".

Our son, Taylor, came home from Texas. He tries his hardest not to associate with us, at all. He stays in his room, with the door locked. But, I am so thankful that the Lord brought him home. I know that he is safe.

Our youngest son, Jacob, is no longer working. It bothers him so much that he doesn't have a job. I am so thankful to know that he has such a desire to work so he can prepare for the time when he has to stand on his own two feet.

Another T thing that has happened.... he had bariatric surgery. He has already lost 85 pounds :).

And Struggling to Keep Up

Me, well, I am tired. I have been dealing with a lot of anxiety and depression. I have decided to step away from fb and will only go in to pinterest if I need to give something my attention.

For about three weeks, I have been sick. It started as stomach pains, but then turned in to nausea and has been that way ever since. I hardly eat anything and when I do, it is very bland. However, on July 7th, I started throwing up. Since I have adrenal insufficiency, I have to be careful with throwing up because it could cause an adrenal crisis and send me to the hospital.

Since all of this has been going on, I have reached out to my gastro doctor, but never heard back. I then reached out to my endocrinologist and all she said was to increase my hydrocortisone until I feel better. Then I had my pcp visit and talked to him about everything. He prescribed some phenergan and zofran that I can rotate. He is also ordering an MRI of my pituitary to see if there are any changes that could be contributing to my headaches and nausea. Then he mentioned a ct scan of something and an ultrasound of my gallbladder.

I just want to know why I am throwing up. What if we do all of these procedures and do not determine anything?

I am still doing my memory work. How about you? I am currently working through the book of Titus and just finished working on Titus 2. I have also just finished working on Psalm 23 and I am now going through Psalm 139. In about a week, I will be starting on Psalm 3.

Psalm 23:1 ESV

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Cross References

Jeremiah 31:25 NIV

I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.”

Isaiah 40:29 NIV

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

2 Corinthians 9:8 NIV

And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

Philippians 4:19 NIV

~~~ The Lord is in control. He is the shepherd and I am one of His sheep. As he cares for His sheep, making sure each one is fed and watered, carrying the ones that are injured; He is also in control of my life. Everything is in His hands; even me and my needs.
