Are you weary? Are you feeling the burden of carrying too many heavy loads?
In my study on Rest, I have come across Matthew 11:28. The Lord is calling me to Him and He will give me rest.
What burdens are you struggling to carry by yourself? That heavy load was not intended for your shoulders alone. The Lord wants to help you with your burdens.
That thought really hits home for me. I have been struggling through some health issues and dealing with a lot of doctors visits and hospital visits. It all gets so overwhelming for me.
However, the load that I have been carrying and struggling hard to maintain is all online.
I set up a newsletter to go along with my blog because I felt it was something that I was "supposed" to do. The more that I struggle with it, the more that I beat myself up and feel like a failure, the more I hear the Lord telling me that it isn't something that He intended for me to do.
As much as I do not want to let anyone down, I just feel that letting go of my newsletter is the best course of action for me.
1. Psalm 55:22 ESV
Cast your burden on the Lord , and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.
We can find comfort from all of our daily burdens when we cast them upon the Lord. He never intended for us to struggle through this life on our own. Turn to Him. He is there waiting.
2. Galatians 6:2 NIV
Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
When we extend a caring hand to someone in need; when we offer to help carry their load; it will not only benefit them, but us as well. Let others see Jesus within you as you offer to help someone with their burdens.
3. Psalm 68:19 NIV
Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.
Turn your cares over to the Lord. As you do, be sure to stop and thank Him for all of the ways that He carries your burdens every day.
