What pains do you struggle with in your life? Are you facing down the pain of heartbreak? Or is your pain more of a health issue?
I do not know what pains you are facing, right now, in your life. All I can do is let you know that, no matter what, you are not alone.
As you already know, I suffer with secondary adrenal insufficiency, fibromyalgia, migraines, along with a plethora of other conditions. I have times that I feel like I miss out on so much because of my illnesses.
I have just recently had a sleep study done. The hope is to try and determine what sleep disorders I suffer with so my rheumatologist knows better how to treat me.
I endured night number one of trying to sleep while being hooked up to wires and while being watched. It was not my best night of sleep ever, however, it has been determined that I sleep apnea. Now, I have to go for night number two of trying to sleep as they fit me to a mask and determine the right pressure for me.
Another thing that has happened recently is that T has gotten me a wheelchair. It is for the times that we go places that requires a lot of walking. He got the wheelchair to help me so that I can still, hopefully, get out and enjoy some of the things we used to do and still want to do.
Odd isn't it? All of this time, whenever I have seen someone in a wheelchair, I have felt bad for them because I know that they depend on that chair. Although, now, I look at that chair filled with hope. Hope that maybe, just maybe, I will be able to take part in certain outings and know that I have this chair to help me. Maybe, I will be able to manage without getting overly exhausted.
Romans 8:18-28 NIV
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Dear Father,

Better Quality Of Sleep
