A Letter To Myself As A Baby

Do you believe that you matter? Do you know that the Lord knows everything there is about you? He has a plan for your life. This is part one of a series into my story.

Sweet Little Baby,

Oh no. Please don't cry.

Yes, I know that your road getting here has not been an easy one.

Your dad tried to have you aborted. However, your mom would not hear of it.

Shortly after your mom and dad were married, he got mad and threw her down. He wanted to cause her to miscarry.

The Lord Is Watching Over You

During your birth, you and your mom, almost died. Stand strong little one, the Lord is watching over you.

Oh precious child, how sweet and innocent you are. I want you to have every possibility in life.

I want to tell you that your life will be an easy one, but I cannot do that.

I will tell you that you are loved. Yes, yes, your mom loves you to bits and pieces. However, the one that I am referring to is the Lord.

You are such a tiny little creature right now and all ready the Lord is wrapping you in His arms. He has protected you in so many ways, already.

You Grow Up With A Desire For Babies

The Lord is setting up the path for you to follow. I believe that because of the things you have been through so far, it leads you to have a deep desire for babies.

You grow up believing that babies are a precious gift from God because He never makes a mistake. Although, to be honest, it does take you a while to grasp that no mistakes are ever made.

By the age of 10, you know that you want to do something with babies when you grow up. Please do not allow anyone to hinder your path.

You will have 3 children of your own that you love with all of your heart. You also spend several years working in child care taking care of newborns. You will tend to a lot of babies. You know that is your calling. Babies are your heart.

The Road Is Hard, But The Lord Is There

Please do not cry. I know the life ahead of you seems scary, but you have the Lord with you every step of the way. He loves and cares for you so much.

At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, where she entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. In a loud voice she exclaimed: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”

Luke 1:39-45 NIV

Let's Pray:

Dear Father,

Thank You for Jesus. Thank You for using Mary, an unwed woman, who had not known a man, to give birth to the Messiah. Thank You for the miracle that took place when Elizabeth's unborn child leaped for joy when she heard Mary's greeting. The first one to celebrate the soon to be birth of the Messiah was an unborn child. Thank You. You have a purpose for each and every one of us. I praise You so much. In Jesus' name, Amen.
