As you go throughout your day, do you give thanks for every blessing that comes your way? Do you spend time complaining about the things that you are unhappy with?
Take a moment and think back over the past few days. Did you take time to thank God for each of the blessings that He revealed to you? Did you, instead, spend time complaining about the things with which you are unhappy?
There are so many blessings that are being revealed to us every day. We only need to slow down long enough to see that they are there.
Express your gratitude every time you notice a blessing and you will start to notice even more of them. The more you focus on each gift from God and give Him thanks, the more the blessings will multiply. Try it.
Give gratitude for the beautiful bird song that wakes you up every morning. Give thanks for the overly excited dog that just wants all of your attention. Give thanks for spelling words, multiplications, long division, because you have been blessed with children and the ability to teach them.
When you are doing your husband's laundry, don't get upset about the task. Give thanks to the Lord for the person that wears those clothes.*
Look for the blessings in your day and spend time thanking the Lord for all that He has done.
There are things about God that people cannot see—his eternal power and all that makes him God. But since the beginning of the world, those things have been easy for people to understand. They are made clear in what God has made. So people have no excuse for the evil they do.
Prayer
Dear Father, thank You for being You. Thank You for the parts of You that I cannot see such as your eternal power. Thank You for helping me to easily understand Your power because of all that You have made. Thank You for all of the many wonderful blessings that You reveal to me every day. Please help me to slow down enough to notice them and give you thanks. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Even Through The Ups And Downs
Patient And Listening Heart
New Eyes To See My Husband
Always Give Thanks
As you go throughout your day, do you give thanks for every blessing that comes your way?
Do you spend time complaining about the things that you are unhappy with?
How can I pray for you today?
If you will allow it, I will be happy to pray for you.
