Be Thankful No Matter What You Face Today

Do you celebrate the small things in life? Or do you focus more on your struggles that you miss the blessings once they happen?

I find myself wondering if you are someone that ever feels invisible. Do you struggle with feeling like you do not matter?

These are feelings that I am facing lately. I find myself feeling so alone in this journey. So invisible. Funny because I always thought that my super power would be of a healing nature <-- not invisibility.

So, when I catch these thoughts and these feelings creeping in, I know that I need to change the channel. I need to stop dwelling on negative things and find something positive to focus on. Refocus my thoughts, look for the blessings that are being revealed and give thanks for each one.

Ways To Celebrate The Small Things

1. Blow some bubbles

Buy yourself some bubbles and have fun. Better still, blow the bubbles and let your dog chase them.

2.  Sit outside and watch the birds

Sitting outside will provide sunshine and fresh air. Who knows, you may be blessed by a glimpse of a hummingbird.

3.  Go for a bike ride

Ride around your neighborhood, pay attention to the different plants.

4. Pick up your favorite book and read it

Escape for a while in the fictional land of your favorite book with your favorite characters.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 NIV

give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Dear Father,

Thank You for always being with me. Thank You for being in control. Even when life is chaotic and does not make sense, please help me to slow down and look for the blessings that You are revealing. Father, I thank You in every type of situation, for I know that this is Your will for me in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' name, Amen.

  1. Oh, friend. Such a prayer! Praising our good Father for His promises. I would love prayer - I would like to reflect the image that I was made in and allow my newly discovered emotions to glorify Him.

    1. Oh Father, I lift Katie into Your hands right now. I pray that Your will be done in her life. Father, she is asking to be able to reflect the image that she has been made in. What a wonderful image that is, too. Help her to be thankful for all that You do and to give You glory always. I praise your name, Father. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
