Prayers For the Lost

Have you ever prayed to accept Jesus into your heart? Have you ever helped a loved one or a friend to pray to accept Jesus into their heart?

Below, you will find several of the verses that I shared earlier this week. Following each of the verses are two prayers. One that you can pray for yourself and another that you can pray for a loved one. You will see that I have blanks where you can add your loved one's name and then you choose either he or she, etc.

Believe

John 3:16 NLT

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

Father, thank You for loving me so much that You gave Your One and only Son, so that as I believe in Him I will not perish, but will have eternal life. In Jesus' name, Amen.

For a loved one:

Father, thank You for loving ________ so much that You gave Your One and only Son, so that as he/she believes in Him he/she will not perish, but will have eternal life. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Matthew 1:21 NLT

And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”

Believe and Be Saved

I remember going to buy groceries. It was me, T and Phillip. I was pregnant with Taylor at the time. I am talking uncomfortably pregnant; at least 8 months pregnant.

T and I were walking up and down the aisles looking at things trying to find the specific items that we needed. And then....

We turned around....

And Phillip was no longer with us.

Gasp! Right?

Then T and I split up and walked all over the store trying to find him. Oh my! I was so close to having a panic attack.

To Seek and To Save

Where did we find him? He was out in the part of the store that had the game machines. He was not even aware that he caused us to freak out. He was not even aware of the fact that his mom and dad love him so much that we searched through the store to save him.

Are you lost? Do you need a loving parent to search for you and to save you? Or maybe you know someone that is lost and hurting.

10 Verses About Salvation

I have gathered these verses to show you the way to salvation.

John 3:16 NLT

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

Matthew 1:21 NLT

And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”

Romans 3:23 NIV

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 6:23 NLT

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Luke 19:10 NIV

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

1 John 1:9 NIV

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

2 Corinthians 5:21 NLT

For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

Romans 10:9‭-‬10 NLT

If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.

Romans 10:13 NLT

For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Acts 16:31 NIV

They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”

Lavished With God's Love

This week, I took several of the verses and put them together as a "Love Letter" to you from God. I know, I know, that is what the Bible does. The Bible is God's "Love Letter " to the world. He tries to help His people (us) to understand that by obeying His Word, we show how much we love Him. Isn't it a blessing that He gave us His Word to show how much He loves us?

In reading through this prayer, I suggest that you read it slowly. Allow His Words to soak in.

 To:

You,

My Child,

That is what you are: My child. You are so important to me. I know that you have suffered at the hands of others which has left you feeling unloved. You might even feel unimportant; invisible. I want to let you know that I do not make mistakes. You are not a mistake. I was there before you were even created. I know everything about you. I know you inside and out. You are important. I do see you, I am the God who sees you (El Roi). You are loved... by Me. I love you so much that I sent my Son to die on the cross, so you and I could have a relationship and so you could have eternal life. I lavish you with My love because you are My child. There is nothing, in all of creation, that will ever separate you from My love. I love you.

-- Psalm 139:13-18, Genesis 16:13, John 3:16, 1 John 3:1, Romans 8:38-39

Your Heavenly Father,

God

You can also change it and make it more personal. What I mean is that you take certain parts of the prayer and add in or substitute your name.

For instance:

It says, "My child", you can change that by adding in your name. And in any area (that makes sense), where it says, "you", you can add in your name.

For me, it would read something like this:

To:

You,

My Child,

That is what you are, Leigha: My child. You are so important to me. Leigha, I know that you have suffered at the hands of others which has left you feeling unloved. You might even feel unimportant; invisible. I want you to know that I do not make mistakes. Leigha, you are not a mistake. I was there before you were even created. Leigha, I know everything about you. I know you inside and out. You are important. I do see you, Leigha, I am the God who sees you (El Roi). You are loved... by Me. Leigha, I love you so much that I sent my Son to die on the cross, so you and I could have a relationship and so you could have eternal life. I lavish you with My love because you are My child. There is nothing, in all of creation, that will ever separate you from My love. I love you.

-- Psalm 139:13-18, Genesis 16:13, John 3:16, 1 John 3:1, Romans 8:38-39

Your Heavenly Father,

God

May your day be blessed with God's lavish love 💕.

Promises of God's Love

I have a secret for you.

You are loved.

I have no idea what your life is like or what it has been like. However, I wanted to make sure that you know you are loved...

by God.

To Please Or Not To Please

I know that when I was younger, I always wanted to please my dad (my earthly dad). I would try to be really good in the hope of making him proud of me. I tried saying the right things. I tried keeping my grades up, in school (of course).

I struggled a lot with trying to please him, even in the smallest ways. I believed that if he was happy with me, and not mad, then he loved me.

Loved By My Heavenly Father

It took me a long time to understand that the kind of acceptance that I was craving from my earthly dad can only come from God. He is the only One that loves me enough to forgive me of my sins. He is the only One that loves me no matter how many times I fall or fail at things.

My Word for 2023 is Love(d). I am learning so much about how my Heavenly Father loves me.

Since February brings Valentine's Day, I decided to share some loved verses with you. These verses show how God loves you.

You Are Loved

1 John 3:1 NIV

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!

God loves you so much that He cannot help but to lavish you with His love. He loves you so much that He calls you one of His children. You are a child of God!

Lamentations 3:22-23 NASB1995

The LORD’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.

The Lord's love for you is so great and it will never cease.

Romans 5:8 NLT

But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

God expresses His great love for you by sending His Son, Jesus, to die for you while you were still a sinner.

1 John 3:16a NIV

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us…

Jesus laid down His life for you. That is a true expression of His love.

Psalm 136:26 NIV

Give thanks to the God of heaven. His faithful love endures forever.

God's love for you is a faithful love. Be sure to give Him thanks.

Zephaniah 3:17 NLT

For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”

The Lord loves you so much that He will calm all of your fears.

Romans 8:38-39 NLT

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God loves you so much that He will not allow anything to ever separate you from His love.

Psalm 139:13-18 TPT

You formed my innermost being, shaping my delicate inside and my intricate outside, and wove them all together in my mother’s womb. I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex! Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it! How thoroughly you know me, Lord! You even formed every bone in my body when you created me in the secret place; carefully, skillfully you shaped me from nothing to something. You saw who you created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book. Every single moment you are thinking of me! How precious and wonderful to consider that you cherish me constantly in your every thought! O God, your desires toward me are more than the grains of sand on every shore! When I awake each morning, you’re still with me.

God loves you. He loves everything about you. He does not make mistakes! He created you and knows you, inside and out.

You are not a mistake!

You are loved!

Blessings,

Leigha

Don't Rush Into Your Day

Psalms 118:24 NLT This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. This is the day that You have made. I am so thank...
