Does Anxiety Keep You From Sleeping?

Do you have trouble sleeping? Does your anxious mind run nonstop telling you that something bad is about to happen?

Sadly enough, I, too, am someone that deals with runaway thoughts. I toss and turn most of the night and my mind will not shut up.





Let's look at Job 11:18-19 to see how the Lord blesses us with safety as we sleep.





Job 11:18-19 NIV 





You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety. You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid, and many will court your favor.

Promises Of Safety

3. You will lie down and no one will make you afraid

You can turn your worries, your cares, your anxiety over to the Lord and trust that He will keep you safe as you rest. Can you find the hope in that?





Prayer:




Dear Father, 




I will be secure, because my hope is in You. I will look about and take my rest in safety. I will lie down, with no one to make me afraid, and many will court my favor ( Job 11:18-19 ). Father, I cast my cares upon You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
