It Is Okay To Rest

How do you take a rest without feeling like a failure? How do you rest without feeling like you are letting everyone down?

I am struggling so much right now. Honestly, I have been so depressed and overwhelmed by things. I just feel like everything is piling up on me and I cannot get a grasp on things.

I need to rest.

To me, the thought of taking a rest means that I have failed. I have not managed to do what I feel the Lord has called me to do and so, here I am with my tail between my legs, feeling like I just messed everything up. I feel like I have let you down.

However, with all of my on going health issues, I feel the need to take a step back and rest.

Lord Willing, I will continue to blog.

It is my hope, Lord willing, to continue to blog. I may only post something every other week, or if I really feel inspired, I will post once a week. I am going to be studying on rest and as I learn something, I will post it here.

That is my hope, anyway. Everything else, well, I just don't know. Pinterest in and of itself is overwhelming for me. I plan to go back to doing just the basic things. Meaning that I am only making one pinterest pin per blog post. Anything more than that is too time consuming and leads to my being overwhelmed.

Fb..... I will still pop in from time to time. I will not be sharing bible verse images on my fanpage, at least for the time being.

John 4:5-6 NIV

So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph. Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon.

* Even Jesus rested *

Prayer:

Dear Father,

Thank You for always being there. Thank You for allowing me time to rest. Please, Father, help me to find my rest in You and not to end up listening to the evil one as he tells me that I am a failure. I know that as You journeyed into Samaria, near the plot of ground Jacob gave to Joseph, You were tired. You needed to rest. You sat down by the well until You felt refreshed. Thank You for all that You do. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Where Do You Put Your Hope?

A Time To Dance

Pain Is A 4 Letter Word

How do you take a rest without feeling like a failure?
How do you rest without feeling like you are letting everyone down?
How can I pray for you today?
If you will allow it, I will be happy to help carry your load.
