Have you recently lost a loved one? Are you helping a sick family member? Have you been diagnosed with something scary?
It was 2015 when I was diagnosed with secondary Adrenal Insufficiency. What a scary time that was for me.
When you are in the middle of helping someone through treatments with cancer, it needs to be a rule that you cannot get sick at the same time.
I developed what I thought was just a stomach bug. I could not keep anything down. This went on for over a week, but I just knew it had to run its course.
Finally, after T got home from his round of chemo treatments, he took me to the er. Then the battery of tests started.
My sodium level was 112 and it should be around 135. They started me on steroids to help with that.
In the end, it was determined that I have secondary Adrenal Insufficiency and need to take hydrocortisone every day just to function. Yes, that was a scary time for me.
Now it has been over 4 years since I was diagnosed and I find that I still struggle with things. Like for instance.... I used to be able to cook dinner, you know at dinner time, eat the food, and do the dishes. I try this now and I am doing good to just brown up some chicken and I need to take a break or I will collapse. <--- scary
Today, let's look at Romans 5:3-4 NIV . Pray it over your life's struggles and hold it close.
Romans 5:3-4 NIV
Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
Let's Pray:
Dear Father,
Not only so, Father, but I pray that you will help ______ to glory in ______ sufferings, because ______ knows that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance produces character; and character produces hope (Romans5:3-4). Please help ______ to persevere. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I am just going to say it and get it out of the way....
