Devotional: Stitched With Love

Do you struggle with feeling like you are a mistake? Do you think that God might have messed up when He created you?

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

Psalm 139:13 NIV

Look at her. She taught herself how to crochet. Look at the smile on her face as she works one single crochet stitch after another. Every stitch is filled with so much of her love.

I can remember, before the pains became unbearable in my hands, sitting for hours on end crocheting. My favorite thing was to crochet something for someone that I love.

One Stitch At A Time

Now imagine the love, the patience that the Lord puts in to creating each one of us. This verse says that He knits us together. He could have spoken us into being, but He took the time to intimately form us in our mother's womb.

Your life is not a mistake or something that happened by chance. It is the result of a Father who loves you so much.

Think about this :

You are His masterpiece.

You bring joy to His heart.

Let's Pray:

Dear Father,

Thank You for loving me so much that you took the time to knit me together in my mother's womb. Thank You for all that You do. In Jesus' name, Amen.
