God's Grace

Do you ever have times where you feel like the other shoe is going to drop at any moment? Do you feel like you are just one mistake away from others finding out that you are a "fake"?

Tim confided in me that he is feeling overwhelmed. He said it is like having a sense of doom.

Oh, sadly, I can relate to that feeling. He said that over the years, he has had a hard time understanding why I deal with anxiety and depression the way that I do. Now, he says that he "gets it."

Sufficient Grace

Feelings of overwhelm, anxiety, panic, and depression. Those are all things that I struggle with. However, this time, it is T who is going through these struggles.

Do you ever have times where you feel like the other shoe is going to drop at any moment? Do you feel like you are just one mistake away from others finding out that you are a "fake"?

Did you know that God's grace is already yours? He offers it freely to all who believe in Jesus. So, it does not matter what you have done or have not done. It doesn't matter if you feel like a failure. God's grace is there for you.

According to dictionary.com, grace is the freely given, unmerited favor and love of God.

Believe

Grace is not something that is earned. God gives it freely. If you believe in Jesus, you are covered in God's grace.

Think about those last few statements for a minute. You cannot earn His grace. Nothing you have done will keep you from being covered; as long as you believe in Jesus.

No struggles that you face can keep you from His grace. No anxiety can keep you from it. No depression. You believe in Jesus, you are covered. Hold on to that.

2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Prayer

Dear Father, thank You.  Thank You for sending Jesus to walk among us. Thank You for sending Him to the cross to die for my sins so that I have a way to reach You. I believe in Jesus and know that I am covered in Your grace. While I may struggle with day to day issues, Your grace is sufficient for me. Your power is made perfect in my weakness. So I will boast about my weaknesses so that Your power may rest on me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Sometimes The Answer Is "Wait"

Before The Chaos

Because Of Faith
